Fine-tuning a posture, drawing the attention back to the body - these things re-focus the mind and relieve stress.    Each class concludes with 20 minutes of deep relaxation, your time to let the mind drift and your body feel the sensation of peace.

"Learn to release the negative effects of stress.    make your body a more comfortable place in which to live."

The Sanskrit words for Sun (ha) and Moon (tha) capture the essence of Hatha Yoga - uniting sun and moon, creating balance between positive and negative.

Hatha Yoga is a physical practice that works to achieve balance between left and right, forward and backward through postures that are deliberate, gentle, and safe.    We practice an Americanized version that emphasizes stretching as a path to relaxation.
